In April 2017, the American Occupational Therapy Association celebrated the 100th Anniversary of Occupational Therapy and Dynamic Kids couldn’t wait to join in! Celebrating this milestone gave our Occupational Therapists the opportunity to celebrate their profession and how far they have come. Pediatric OT’s focus on self-regulation, executive function, sensory processing and motor planning all with the goal of helping children to perform everyday activities to their highest potential.
Dynamic Kids engaged in a project we called, ‘100 Hearts for 100 Years’. The project entailed having our students sew and stuff 100 heart pillows to be donated to United for the Troops, a non-profit organization dedicated to serving those who selflessly serve our country.
On April 20th, along with the pillows, children and staff members presented cards and letters of thanks and appreciation to a representative from United for the Troops. Our efforts were captured in a community column of a local weekly newspaper and we couldn’t be more proud!
